CBS News Eye On America from early April, 1992. It's hard to pick out who's most disgusting in this piece. Is it CBS News with its sneering treatment of wrestling, is it the oily McMahon family, or is it men like David Shults and Murray Hodgson, who lied and exaggerated about the extent of the issues involved? The only redeeming thing about this piece is that CBS News had the sense to use "allegedly" when discussing WWF claims about gross receipts. It was amazing during this whole episode how many media outlets Vince McMahon got to repeat his laughable claims that he was doing bigger business than the NFL.
