When the weather is hot, there is nothing more refreshing than a nice cold beer. There is a problem though - beer goes down too well when you are thirsty.

The recommendation for this hot weather is that you drink plenty but not caffeine or alcohol which is why I have been buying this alcohol free beer.

However look at the can and you can see that this Steinburg (German name but actually brewed in Spain) would contravene the Trade Descriptions Act in the UK.

This alcohol free beer actually contains 0.7% of the stuff. That isn’t a lot but down a few of these and you are taking in the equivalent of a pint of best bitter.

So there you go, whereas in Spain a little alcohol is “sin”, in Inglaterra a lot of alcohol is “sin”. Confusing isn’t it?
